Come in the autumn

we will harvest our dreams

that we had planted years ago

the unbearable winter.

The Shadow

A dark,

abstract part of my life

my failure

my bravado

my dark shadow.

It challenges my viability

of what I am or not

it is the only witness of my vicissitudes

and all my deeds – bad or good.

I wish to be shadowless

like the sun

but it seems to be impossible

until I lay on the pyre

my past

my hitherto

my dark shadow.

In Pursuit of Happiness

I hunted for years and years

pursuing my happiness

but my tireless search

ended without achievement

I could buy gold and diamonds

but I couldn’t buy happiness.

My eyes are full of tears

my heart is full of calamity

every night brings nightmares

every day rises with whispers

I traveled miles and miles

pursuing my happiness

I crossed continents

I crossed oceans

but I never found my happiness

it became more precious

than gold and diamonds

its worth became greater

than my wisdom and knowledge.
