Kathmandu, June 29: The Central Conference of the Global Federation of Nepalese Literature on Friday has elected a new working committee under the chair of Biswas Deep Tigela.

The vice-presidents of the newly elected committee are Sagar Shrestha (Saudi Arabia), Bed Dahal (America), Mani Rai ‘Gothale’ (Malaysia) and Surendra Limbu ‘Pardeshi’ (India).

nepali sahitya (18) Likewise, Samadarshi Kainla (General Secretary) from UAE, Khagendra Adhikari (Secretary) from Saudi Arabia were elected.

Organization Secretaries are Hari Shiwakoti (Canada), Devendra Khapung (Nepal), Finance Secretary Kedar Sanket (Afghanistan), and Assistant Finance Secretary Jiwan Dewan (Malaysia).

The members are Dr. Lekhnath Kafle (Taiwan), Tirtha Sangam Rai (Qatar), Dip Darshan Shahi (Malaysia), Nagendra Ingnam (America) and Govinda Gautam ( Russia). The conference was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Madhu Madhurya ( Russia ) former president of the federation.

With the objective of developing, extending and protecting the Nepali literature, the federation was formed on Asar 29, 2069 BS on the occasion of the birth anniversary of pioneer poet Bhanubhakta Acharya.

The federation has extended its 13 branches in different 11 countries across the world. RSS

GLOBAL LITERARY FEDERATION BRINGS E -MAGAZINE

Kathmandu, July 20: A Global Federation of Nepalese Literature, Singapore Branch has been formed under the chairmanship of lyricist Ram Prasad Rai.

The gathering held in Singapore in the presence of Chairman of the Federation Biswasdeep Tigela, elected Ale Maila as general secretary, and members are Homkaji Gurung, Bipin Yonjan, Kumar Shrestha, Kedar Rai, Tanka Limbu, Subhas Ghising, Suraj Rai (Darjeelinge Bro), Balkrishna Titung, Homnath Gurung, Hom Bahadur Gomden and the Advisors are Jiwan Mukarung and Madan Mabo.

This is the 14 th branch of the Federation so far spread in 12 countries.

Meanwhile, at the 200 th Bhanu Jayanti organised by the Federation in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, Federation Vice Chairman Mani Rai Gothale made public a monthly e-magazine. The e-magazine ‘Mulbato’ is edited by Dr. Lekhnath Kafle from Taiwan. RSS

GLOBAL FEDERATION FOR NEPALI LITERATURE, NEPAL CHAPTER FORMED

Kathmandu, Aug. 4: The Global Federation for Nepali Literature, Nepal chapter has been constituted under the chair of Ramesh Kandel.

A recent meeting held in the presence of Federation central vice chairman Sagar Shrestha has elected Kala Anuragi as senior vice chairman, Tibbat Darlami as vice chairman, Bina Thing Tamang as general secretary, Ritu Adhikari secretary and Bidya Sapkota as finance secretary.

Similarly, Akinchan Nani, Naina Nirjhara, Jen Tamu, Chandra Chamling and Ganesh Kumar Rai are the members elected whereas Uddab Poudel is in the media taskforce.

Likewise, Hari Adhikari, Usha Sherchan, Prateek Dhakal and Phoolman Bal are advisors to the chapter. A collection of gazals by Purna Kanchha Gurung and Saraswoti Mahat was released on the occasion.

The Federation was established in 2067 BS with a view to promoting Nepali literature across the world. So far, the Federation has over a dozen national chapters, Federation Chairman Bishwas Deep Tigela said.

The Federation has decided to organize Global Nepali Literary Conference in November in the capital on the sidelines of the Non-Resident Nepali Association conference to be held in Nepal in upcoming November. RSS

DEWAN IN MALAYSIA CHAPTER OF GFNL

Kathmandu, April 24: A gathering of Nepali litterateurs working in Malaysia formed the Malaysia chapter of Global Federation for Nepali Literature (GFNL) under the chairmanship of Jeevan Dewan.

GFNL works for the development, promotion and protection of Nepali literature globally. GFNL general secretary Biswasdip Tigela was present on the occasion.
Dilip Rai ‘Sagar’ is the vice president, Shreejan Shree is the secretary, Mani Rai ‘Gothale’ the joint secretary and Ganindra Bibas the treasurer of the Malaysia chapter of the GFNL. Similarly, Niraj Sapkota, Raj Kumar Teyung ‘Tarewa’, Bhim Snehi and Jiten Rai are its members. RSS
